HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7638 CHANGE OF ZONING FROM ZONE A TO ZONE LI AFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION OF SUFFOLK DRIVE AND MIKE PADGETT HIGHWAY ORDINANCE NO.11D 3 si An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located the southeast intersection of Suffolk Drive and Mike Padgett Highway; thence along the southern right-of-way of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 637 feet, more or less, to a point and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture)to Zone LI(Light Industry) as follows: Beginning at a point located at the southeast intersection of Suffolk Drive and Mike Padgett Highway; thence along the southern right-of-way of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 637 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 485 feet,more or less,to a point;thence,in a southerly direction a distance of 168 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 481 feet,more or less to a point;thence,along the north right-of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 175 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Property containing 1.9 acres and known as 2524 Mike Padgett Highway.Tax Map 099-3-011- 00-0 Z-18-43 I SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: 1. The applicant shall maintain a 50 foot vegetative buffer along the north property line. 2. Any derelict structures remaining on the property must be demolished and any/all debris removed. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
