HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7625 TO AMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE BY CHANGING THE ZONING FROM ZONE R-1 AND ZONE B-1 TO ZONE R-2 AFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF FLORENCE STREET AND ELEVENTH STREET } ORDINANCE NO.7 Q 25 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-1 and Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone R-2 (Two-family Residential)affecting property located at the southwest corner of Florence Street and Eleventh Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map by changing the zoning from Zone R-1 and Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business)to Zone R-2 (Two-family Residential)as follows: Beginning at a point located at the southwest corner of Florence Street and Eleventh Street;thence, in a easterly direction along the southern right-of-way line of Florence Street a distance of 140 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 85 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 140 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the west right-of-way line of Eleventh Street a distance of 85 feet, more or less,to the point of beginning. This property contains 0.28 acres and is 3 tax parcels known as 1110 Florence Street and 1301 and 1305 Eleventh Street. Tax Map 059-2-175-00-0, 059-2-176-01-0,and 059-2-176-00-0 Z-18-35 , SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: 1. Provide an access easement for the proposed shared driveway and parking spaces as part of the plat recording for the newly created lots. 2. Provide landscaping that is similar to the illustration shown on the concept plan date received on 5/31/2018. SECTION III.
