HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7617 CHANGE OF ZONING FROM ZONE LI WITH CONDITIONS TO ZONE B-2 AFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF WASHINGTON ROAD, 697.90 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF WASHINGTON ROAD AND BEVERLY HEIGHTS DRIVE ORDINANCE NO.1 ID (l An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry) with conditions to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the north right-of-way line of Washington Road, 697.90 feet east of the northeast corner of Washington Road and Beverly Heights Drive; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map by changing the zoning from Zone LI(Light Industry)with conditions to Zone B-2 (General Business)as follows: Beginning at a point located on the north right-of-way line of Washington Road, 697.90 feet east of the northeast corner of Washington Road and Beverly Heights Drive;thence,N 07°30'57"E a distance of 813.59 feet to appoint;thence,S 79°15'20" E a distance of 246.66 feet to a point; thence, S l0°22'39" W a distance of 302.96 feet to a point; thence S 79°17'18" E a distance of 265.45 feet to a point; thence, S 10°59'10" W a distance of 527.47 feet to a point located on the north right-of-way line of Washington Road;thence N.79°15'20"W along the north right-of-way line of Washington Road a distance of 465.0 feet to the point of beginning. This tract contains 7.29 acres and is known as 3069 Washington Road. Tax Map 014-0-076-00- 0 Z-18-27 SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: 1. The approval of Z-18-28 a special exception to establish a vehicle paint and body shop per Section 22-2 (a) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta, Georgia affecting property containing 7.29 acres and known as 3069 Washington Road. Tax Map 011-0-076- 00-0 2. Automobiles in running condition are allowed to be stored on site for a maximum time of 30 days. 3. The use shall be conducted in accordance with all state and local environmental regulations, including, but not limited to, those pertaining to air and water quality. 4. Issuance of development permits shall be contingent upon submission development plans meeting all applicable development regulations. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
