An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from
Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located at the
southeast corner of the intersection of Doug Barnard Parkway and Mike Padgett
Highway, as being the beginning point; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is
amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map by changing the zoning from Zone A
(Agriculture)to Zone HI(Heavy Industry)as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Doug Barnard Parkway and
Mike Padgett Highway, as being the beginning point; thence, in a southwesterly
direction a distance of 80 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly
direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of
349 feet,more or less,to a point;thence,in a southwesterly direction along the eastern
right-of-way of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 60 feet, more or less,to a point;
thence,in a southeasterly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Mike Padgett
Highway a distance of 517 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly
direction a distance of 1,650 feet, more or less,to a point; thence, in a northwesterly
direction a distance of 1,000 feet, more or less, to a point, thence, in a southwesterly
direction along the southern right-of-way of Doug Barnard Parkway a distance of
1,585 feet, more or less,to the point of beginning. This property contains 37.2 acres
is known as 4206 Mike Padgett Highway. Tax Map 200-0-012-00-0

SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is
subject to the following stipulations:
1. Issuance of development permits shall be contingent upon submission development plans meeting
all applicable development regulations.
2. The use shall be conducted in accordance with all state and local environmental regulations,
including,but not limited to,those pertaining to air and water quality.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
