AUGUSTA, GEORGIA
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE INCLUSION OF LOCAL STREETS INTO THE
RESIDENTIAL PARKING PASS PROGRAM;AND OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,the Augusta Commission approved Ordinance changes to Augusta, Georgia Code
Section 3-5-91-11 to create a Residential Parking Pass Program at their regular meeting held on Tuesday,
November 7, 2017; and
WHEREAS,the implementation of this program on the residential streets will improve the quality
of life and safety of the property owners in this area; and
WHEREAS,the property owners along the included residential streets,in cooperation with various
Augusta, Georgia departments, have followed the processes outlined in the Ordinance and the need to
include this area into the program has been established per approved policies; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineering Division of the Engineering Department has reviewed the
application for the following streets and recommends approval in the Residential Parking Pass Program:
1. Augusta Avenue between Laney Walker Blvd and Wrightsboro Road,
2. Blount Avenue between Laney Walker Blvd and Wrightsboro Road,
3. Florence Street between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue,
4. Mauge Street between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue,
5. Perry Avenue between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue; and
THE COMMISSION OF AUGUSTA,GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The Augusta, Georgia Engineering Department, Traffic Engineering Division, is directed to complete the
process outlined in the Residential Parking Pass Program and to add the following residential streets into
the Residential Parking Pass Program:
1. Augusta Avenue between Laney Walker Blvd and Wrightsboro Road,
2. Blount Avenue between Laney Walker Blvd and Wrightsboro Road,
3. Florence Street between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue,
4. Mauge Street between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue,
5. Perry Avenue between Augusta Avenue and Blount Avenue.
