An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 by amending the
following:
Amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta Georgia by amending
Section 2 (Definitions)regarding Subdivisions.
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is now amended by adding the
following language in Section 2 (Definitions):
"SUBDIVISION, MAJOR" Any subdivision that is not considered minor.
"SUBDIVISION,MINOR" Any subdivision meeting the following criteria are minor plats:
a) The subdivision will result in the creation of no more than four (4) lots, and may
include a remnant lot that has not been subdivided in the past five years;
b) The subdivision does not involve extension or substantial alterations of public
utilities;
c) The subdivision does not require the dedication of public right-of-way;
d) Any new or residual parcels shall meet the minimum lot size requirements as
expressed in the Zoning Ordinance.
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
