HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7595 CHANGE OF ZONING FROM ZONE A TO ZONE HI AFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEASTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY INTERSECTION OF DEANS BRIDGE ROAD AND BIRDWELL ROAD ORDINANCE NO 5q 5 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia"by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry)affecting property located on the southeastern right-of-way intersection of Dean Bridge Road and Birdwell Road; thence in a southwesterly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Deans Bridge Road a distance of 2,250 feet,more or less,to a point,; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture)to Zone HI(Heavy Industry)as follows: Beginning at a point on the southeastern right-of-way intersection of Dean Bridge Road and Birdwell Road; thence in a southwesterly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Deans Bridge Road a distance of 2,250 feet,more or less,to a point,being the point of beginning; thence in southeasterly direction a distance of 1,143 feet,more or less,to a point;thence in a southwesterly direction a distance of 1,337 feet, more or less, to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 1,125 feet,more or less,to a point,located on the eastern right-of-way of Deans Bridge Road; thence in a northeasterly direction along the eastern right-of-way of Deans Bridge Road a distance of 1234 feet,more or less to a point; thence in a southeasterly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Deans Bridge Road a distance of 15 feet, more or less, to a point, being the point of beginning. The subject property contains a total of approximately 32.3 acres and is more formally known as 4338,4340,4344,4348,4352,4350,4358,4362 and 4364 Deans Bridge Road. All that lot, tract or parcel of land, with any improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in Richmond County,Georgia,being shown and designated as TPNs 176-0-005-00-0, 176-0-006-00- 0, 176-0-007-00-0, 176-0-008-02-0, 176-0-008-00-0, 176-0-008-01-0, 176-0-009-00-0, 176-0- 010-00-0 and 176-0-010-01-0 in Augusta GIS. Z-18-03 . SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: 1. A 600-foot buffer shall be undisturbed except for maintenance and activities permitted under the Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management. SECTION III.
