RESOLUTION
Resolution authorizing Augusta, Georgia to submit a Pre-Application with the Georgia
Department of Natural Resources for 2017 Land and Water Conservation Funds to assist
with development projects at Lake Olmstead Regional Park.
WHEREAS, at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Augusta, Georgia Commission,held
on f oyem { 1 , 2017, a motion was made and duly seconded that Augusta, Georgia
agrees to submit a Pre-application for funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
Augusta,Georgia further agrees that in the event Augusta,Georgia's pre-application is recommended
for funding by the Department of Natural Resources,Augusta, Georgia certifies and assures that it
has the ability and intention to finance their 50 percent of the total project cost and will move
forward with due diligence to prepare, or have prepared, appropriate documentation required for a
formal LWCF application.
