AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE AUGUSTA, GA CODE TITLE ONE, ARTICLE
FOUR, SECTION 1-7-51 RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF PERSONNEL POLICIES
AND PROCEDURES OF AUGUSTA, GEORGIA; TO AMEND SECTION 500.314 OF
THE PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL REGARDING ANNUAL
LEAVE J1111111111111111111 FOR SENIOR EXECUTIVE STAFF; TO REPEAL ALL CODE
SECTIONS AND ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF CODE SECTIONS AND
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Section 500.314 of the Augusta, Georgia Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual
("PPPM") currently set the annual leave and carry over cap for Senior Executive Staff(SES)
employees at 325 hours;
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Augusta,Georgia Board of Commissioners that the annual leave
and carry over cap for SES employees should be increased to 350 hours; and
WHEREAS, Augusta, Georgia desires to update and amend Section 500.314 of the Personnel
Policy and Procedures Manual which is part of AUGUSTA, GA. CODE Section 1-7-51 to allow for
the annual leave and carry over cap for SES employees to be increased to 350 hours.
THE AUGUSTA,GEORGIA COMMISSION,ordains as follows:
SECTION 1. AUGUSTA, GA. CODE Section 1-7-51 as set forth in the Augusta, Ga. Code, re-
adopted March 1, 2011 (Ord. 7323), is hereby amended by striking Section 500.314 of the
incorporated Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual in its entirety as set forth in "Exhibit A"
hereto and inserting in lieu thereof new Section 500.314 as set forth in"Exhibit B"hereto.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption in accordance with
applicable laws.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

the rate at which Annual Leave will accrue. There is no waiting period before SES employees can
use Annual Leave. Annual Leave accrual and carryover for SES employees is capped at three
hundred fifty(350)hours.
