For
2016 HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
This First Amendment to the Contract executed by and between the Parties on
March 30, 2016 is made and entered into on the day of September 2016, by and between
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, (hereinafter referred to as "Augusta"), and SAND HILLS URBAN
DEVELOPMENT (hereinafter referred to as the "SHUD").
WHEREAS, AUGUSTA desires to amend the original agreement to allow SHUD to
effectively administer its HOME eligible affordable housing development activities;
WHEREAS, SHUD has determined that this amendment is in its best interest and has
agreed to the said amendment;
NOW THERFORE, in exchange for their mutual good and valuable consideration, the
receipt and sufficiency of which each PARTY acknowledges, and intending to be legally bound,
AUGUSTA and SHUD agree to amend said agreement as follows:
ARTICLE I B. USE OF FUNDS:
This section is being amended to include acquisition of property.
a. Construction Costs
The total cost of construction for this project is BEING AMENDED TO one hundred fifty-four
thousand eight hundred sixty- five dollars & 58/100 ($154,865.58). This amount is to be utilized
to assist with cost of all construction related fees. The design and specifications must be
approved by AHCD prior to construction.

b. Acquisition
An amount not to exceed fifteen thousand one hundred thirty-four dollars & 42/100 ($15,134.42)
shall be expended to SHUD in support of acquisition of 2729A Wheeler Road, Parcel# 033-
2035-00-0. This amount shall include the purchase price, closing cost and title insurance.
ARTICLE II. BUDGET AND METHOD OF PAYMENT
SHUD shall adhere to the following revised budget in the performance of this contract."
Project Activity Cost
Construction $ 154,865.58
Acquisition $ 15,134.42
TOTAL HOME PROJECT COST $ 170,000.00
Except for the modifications made by this Amendment,the terms and conditions of the original
agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
