An Ordinance to amend the Comprehe Zonin Ordin adopted by the Augusta
Georgia Co effective September 16, 199 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with al
amen which have been approved by eithe the Augus Co as author
under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by chaning . the zoning from Zone R -1 (One-
family Residential) to Zone R -2 (Two - family Residential) affecting property
located 269 feet, more or less, west of Old Waynesboro Road and also being 1,
439 feet, more or less, south of where the centerline of Rusk Drive extended
intersects the west right -of -way line of Old Waynesboro Road; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AA
UGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is
amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R -1 (One - family Residential) to
Zone R -2 (Two - family Residential) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located 269 feet, more or less, west of Old Waynesboro Road
and also being 1, 439 feet, more or less, south of where the centerline of Rusk
Drive extended intersects the west right -of -way line of Old Waynesboro Road;
thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence, in
a northwesterly direction a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence, in a
northeasterly direction a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence, in a
southeasterly direction a distance of 100.0 feet to the point of beginning. This
proposed telecommunication tower compound containing .22 acres. Part of Tax
Map 213 -0- 156 -00 -0
SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the
following stipulation:
The only use of the property may be a telecommunication tower which may not exceed 250
feet in height.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
