A SALARY REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION FOR RICHMOND
COUNTY ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR THE 2013 LEGISLATIVE CYCLE
WHEREAS, the Georgia Legislature by local legislation has the authority to establish
the salaries of Richmond County Elected officials and has in the past exercised this authority;
and
WHEREAS, several elected officials in Richmond County have requested that their
salaries be reviewed by the Georgia Legislature; and
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Augusta, Georgia Commission on March 19,
2013, the Commission approved a motion for a Resolution to the Richmond County Legislative
Delegation for the delegation to review all of the salaries of the elected officials of Richmond
County and make salary recommendations for consideration by the Georgia Legislature during
the 2013 legislative cycle:
THE COMMISSION OF AUGUSTA, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES to request
that the Richmond County Legislative Delegation review all of the salaries of the elected
officials of Richmond County and make appropriate salary recommendations for consideration
by the Georgia Legislature during the 2013 legislative cycle.
Duly adopted this 19th day of March, 2013.
