HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7381 CHANGING THE ZONING FROM ZONE A (AGRICULTURE) AND ZONE HI AFFECTING MIKE PADGETT HIGHWAY AND HORSESHOE ROADORDINANCE NO. 7381 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with conditions to Zone HI affecting property located on the northeast corner of Mike Padgett Highway and Horseshoe Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with conditions to Zone HI affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of Mike Padgett Highway and Horseshoe Road; thence, in an easterly direction along the south right -of -way line of Horseshoe Road a distance of 3,325 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 880 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 5,142 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 1,770 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 711 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 4, 900 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 5,032 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 1.56 miles, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 4,925 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 3,163 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 555 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 797 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 541 feet, more or less; to a point; thence, in northerly direction a distance of 729 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 442 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 858 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 1,086 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 700 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 486 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 1,880 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta, Georgia is subject to this following stipulations: 1) that a 400 foot natural buffer be maintained adjacent to the rear property lines of those parcels located on the easternmost side of Lewis Acres Subdivision and 2) that a 100 foot natural buffer be maintained adjacent to the rear property lines of those parcels located on the northernmost side of Lewis Acres Subdivision. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 19 day of Feb , 2013.
