HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7374 TO AMEND COMP ZONING BY CHANGING ZONING FROM ZONE LI (LIGHT INDUSTRY) AFFECTINGPROPERTY LOCATED TRACT A LOCATED PEACH ORCHARD ROADORDINANCE NO. • 7374 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone R -1 (One - family Residential) affecting property located Tract A located on the southeast right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road where the centerline of Willis Foreman Road extended intersects and Tract B located 400 feet, more or less, southeast of the right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road where the centerline of Willis Foreman Road extended intersects; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone R -1 (One - family Residential)affecting property as follows: SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this d day ofSsz-sa-- , 2012. ATTEST: Tract A — Zone LI to Zone A Beginning at a point located on the southeast right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road where the centerline of Willis Foreman Road extended intersects; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 640 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 94 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 27 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a easterly direction a distance of 306 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 800 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 410 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southeast right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road; thence, in a northerly direction along the southeast right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 135 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Tract A contains approximately 7.5 acres and is known as 3964 Peach Orchard Road. (Part of Tax Map 195 -0- 023 -01 -0) Tract B — Zone LI to Zone R -1 Beginning at a point located 400 feet, more or less, southeast of the right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road where the centerline of Willis Foreman Road extended intersects; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 800 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 375 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 800 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 375 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
