An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from
Zone R -1 A (One - family Residential) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting
property located on the southwest right -of -way line of Peach Orchard Road, 150.0
feet north of Balfour Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith
and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is
amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R -1A (One - family Residential)
to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right -of -way line of Peach Orchard
Road, 150.0 feet north of Balfour Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction a
distance of 297.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 280
feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 270
feet, more or less, to a point located on the southwest right -of -way line of Peach
Orchard Road; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right -of-
way line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 281 feet, more or less, to the point
of beginning. This property contains approximately 1.81 acres and is known as
3343 Peach Orchard Road. Tax Map 122 -3- 020 -00 -0 & 122 -3- 020 -02 -0
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
