HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7364 TO AMEND BY CHANGING ZONING FROM R-1C TO ZONE B-1 WATKINS STREET . s ORDINANCE NO. �364 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located on the northeast right-of-way line of Watkins Street, 384 feet, more or less, southeast of Metcalf Street; and for the repeal of ardinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1 C(One-family Residential) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows: ti � Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Watkins Street, 384 feet, more or less, southeast of Metcalf Street; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 222.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 63.0 feet to a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Walker Street Extension; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Walker Street Extension a distance of 26 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 107.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 155.0 feet to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Watkins Street; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Watkins Street a distance of 150.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .72 acres and is known as 1919 Watkins Street. (Tax Map 035-1-413-00-0) SECTION IL This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: � That the use of the property be for a child care center and after school children's program or those uses allowed in a R-1C (One-family Residential) Zone. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 16t�— day of A ,�,�.� , 2012.
