HomeMy WebLinkAboutCITY OF HEPHZIBAH RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT HEPHZIBAH/CARROLL PARKWhereas, the City of Hephzibah upon consideration by the Hephzibah City
Commission and by official vote of said Commission on October 1, 2012,
the City of Hephzibah hereby accepts the ownership and control of
Hephzibah/Carroll Park under the following terms and conditions.
A. The park properties are accepted in "As Is" condition.
B. The community center shall be maintained as a public community
center for governmental purposes.
c. As owner, the City of Hephzibah shall be responsible for maintenance.
D. The City of Hephzibah shall adopt rental procedures, publish, and follow
said procedures to ensure fair and equal access to the facility.
E. The property shall revert to the City of Augusta, Georgia in the event
Hephzibah ceases the use of the facility for governmental purposes or
attempt to convey the property to any other person, partnership or
corporation unless taken by another governmental entity by
condemnation or consented to by the City of Augusta, Georgia.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Hephzibah does hereby
accept the Hephzibah/Carroll Park upon acceptance of this resolution by
the City of Augusta, Georgia.
