HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7363 TO AMEND BY CHANGING ZONE LI TO ZONE HIORDINANCE NO 7363 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Sand Bar Ferry Road and the Bobby Jones Expressway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property as follows: SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 18 day of Sept , 2012. APPROVED THIS Sept 18, , 2012. Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Sand Bar Ferry Road and the Bobby Jones Expressway; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 826 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 855 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right -of -way line of Sand Bar Ferry Road a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 2.84 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 601 Sand Bar Ferry Road.
