An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta,
Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all
amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized
under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of
the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R - (One - family Residential)
to Zone R -1D (One - family Residential) affecting property located where the
centerline of Mayo Road extended intersects the southwest right -of -way line of
Big Hunt Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R - A (One - family Residential) to Zone R - D
(One - family Residential) affecting property as follows:
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Beginning at a point where the centerline of Mayo Road extended intersects the
southwest right -of -way line of Big Hunt Road; thence, in a southeasterly direction
a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to a point located on the north right -of -way
line of River Watch Parkway; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right -
of -way line of River Watch Parkway a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, N 05 °03'08" W a distance of 111.89 feet to a point; thence, in a
northeasterly direction a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to a point located on
the southwest right -of -way line of Big Hunt Drive; thence, in a southeasterly
direction along the southwest right -of -way line of Big Hunt Drive a distance of
170 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains 1.13
acres and is known as 2763 Mayo Road. (Tax Map 006 -0- 010 -00 -0)
