Description of Change: To have POTTS Construction Company be a single source provider for all low voltage cabling, installation and testing, including the security systems. Why is this change necessary? This work would normally fall outside of the scope of the construction service of the C.M. at Risk and go to a third party. By including it as part of the original construction package, it will be coordinated and installed under the supervision of Potts Construction Company. Who requested this change? The change was originated and requested by the owner. Is there an alternative to doing this work and what impact does it have? Send to bid and have outside companies do the work after the fact. This would cause delays in full owner use of space when building is turned over What will happen if this change is not made? Possible delays in delivery and quality control may suffer.
