HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7347 AMEND COMP ZONING MAP AFFECTING PROPERTYORDINANCE NO. 7347 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R -1C (One - family Residential) and Zone R -1 (One - family Residential) affecting property located as follows: Tract A - located 1,070 feet, more or less, west of where the centerline of Harper - Franklin Avenue extended intersects the west right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway and Tract B located 1,240 feet, more or less, southwest of Jimmie Dyess Parkway and being 1,325 feet, more or less, north of the intersection of the centerline of Harper - Franklin Avenue extended and the west right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A ( Agriculture) to Zone R -1C (One - family Residential) and Zone R -1 (One - family Residential) affecting property as follows: Tract A — to R-1C Beginning at a point located 1,070 feet, more or less, west of where the centerline of Harper - Franklin Avenue extended intersects the west right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 870 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 1,010 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 2,030 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 500 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 340 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in westerly direction a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 560 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 450 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 670 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 42 acres. (Part of Tax Map 066 -0- 056 -03 -0) Tract B — to R -1 Beginning at a point located 1,240 feet, more or less, southwest of Jimmie Dyess Parkway and being 1,325 feet, more or less, north of the intersection of the centerline of Harper - Franklin Avenue extended and the west right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 840 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 570 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 350 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 1,810 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 410 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 17 acres. (Part of Tax Map 066 -0- 056 -03 -0) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps is subject to the following stipulation: That there be no road access through the 42 acre tract toward Belair Hills Subdivision. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 15 day of Md .r , 2012.
