Two site visits by designing architect to evaluate the quality of installation. Charles B. Webster Detention Facility Change Authorization -- FF &E Design Ralph Salzmann, PE $32,000.00 This additional service proposal is based on Heery's request to develop the Finishes, Furniture and Equipment related for the new and renovated spaces at the Webster County Detention Center. This proposal provides for inclusion of this scope to run concurrently with the architectural work approved by the Client. To incorporate enhanced finishes and design treatments, including specialty ceiling, millwork or lighting features, as well as, fumiture and equipment planning into the Design and Contract Documents, FF &E services include the following: 1 Programming a. Kick -off meeting to understand interior design requirements. b. Determine storage, equipment and furniture requirements. c. Survey and evaluate existing office fumiture and standard office equipment like copiers, faxes and printers for relocation into new space and make recommendations for reuse. Existing furnishings will be shown on the furniture plan and keyed. 2 Design: Further develop and refine the color palette and floor and wall materials for general circulation, dormitory and personnel spaces such as break room, administration, reception. a. Select wall and flooring materials b. Select fumiture and fumishings c. Refine millwork design based on user requirements for coordination in contract documents. d. Design presentation to Webster Detention Center team. Present for approval: color boards, photos of fumishings, material samples, fabric swatches, finish colors. 3 Construction Documents a. Refine Fumiture and Finish Plans, Document millwork specialties b. Documentation of fumishings for Augusta Richmond County's procurement. Punch list site visit by designing architect to inspect quality of final work. c. Return site visit to inspect status of punch list items. Clarifications This proposal does not include any additional meetings beyond presentations and site visits listed above. This renovation portion of this proposal is not subject to LEED- Renovation requirements and is to have no impact on the LEED status for the new Inmate Processing Building. No cost estimating is required for this scope of work. This is not additional work caused by the A/E including unusual or extraordinary requirements imposed by the reviewing authorities. Scope is based upon information provided to design team and does not include any additional design due to unforeseen conditions in the existing building not previously uncovered or discovered to date. The scope, cost and schedule is predicated on the county's authorization to implement add service request prior to kick -off. A delay between work efforts will result In additional cost due to demobilizing and remobilizing the design staff. Schedule Summary: A. Design Kick -off 3/22/2012 B.
