THIS AGREEMENT is entered into as of the 1s# day of January�2012, by the U.S. GEOL�ICAL SURVEY,
t11dITED STATES �EPARTMENT OF THE 1NTERIOR, party of the first pa�t, and the AUGUSTA UTIUTIES
DEPARTMENT, OF AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, party of the sec�or� part.
1. The parGes hereto agree that subject to availability of appropriations and i� a+c�ortlance with their
respecctive auttwritiss there shal) be maintained in cooperaaon "Ground-Water Monitoring Program for#he -
Augusta-Richmond c:ounty area, Georgia,"� herein called the program. TI� U�GS iegal autl»w�ity is 43
USC 38C; 43 USC 50; and 43 USC 5�.
2. The following amounts shap be contributed ta cover a11 of #�e cost �f the necessary fletd and analytical
work direc�y related to this program. 2(b) includes in-Kind Servfces in the am+ount of $0.

3. The +costs of this program may be paid by eithet party in conformity wiih the laws and regula#ions

4. The field and analytical wark per#aining to this pr+ngram shali be under dfe direction of or subjec� to
periodic nevie�w by an authaize.d repr+�enbtive of the party of #he firs# part.
5. The areas to be inccluded in the p�ogram shail be determined by mutual agreemen# between tl�e part�es
hereto or their authorized rep�serrtatives. The methods employed in the fie(d and office shail be those
adopted by the party of the flrst part ta insure the requjred standards of accurac�r subject to rrwdification
by mutual agreement.
&. During the caurse of this program, all fieid and anatyticai woric of either party pertaining to this program
sfiall be open to tfie inspection of the other par#y, and if the work is not being carried on m a mutually
satisfactory manner, either party may terminate this agreement upon 60 days writ#�n notice io the other

7. The original r+ecords resu�ing from this program wiil be deposited in the off�ce of origin of those recards.

9. USGS wi11 issue billings w#ilizir�g Depattment of the In#erior Bill #or Coile+ction {form Dl-1040). Biliing
documents are to be tendened flUARTERLY. Payments of bills are due wlthin 60 days aR�r the billing
date. if not paid by the due date, interest will be charged at the current Treasury rate for each 30 day
psriai, or por#ion thereof, that the payment is delayed beyond the due date. (31 USG 3717; Comptroller
General File &�1�222, August 23, 1983).
