Augusta, Georgia Administrative Rule
for Tit�e �I Compliance
1. Statement of Policv: Aug�zsta, Georgia is committed to a policy of non-discrimination
in its operations, including its responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of
I964. As a result, Augusta, Georgia will utilize its best efforts to assure that no person
shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participa�ian in,
be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any program that reeeives
federal funds and its related benefits.
2. 4biectives: Toward this end, it is Augusta, Georgia's objective to:
A. Ensure that the level and quality of services under any program that receives
federal funds are provided without regard to race, color, or national origin;
B. Ydentify and address, as appropriate, disproportionately high and adverse human
health and environmental effects, including social and economic effects, of
programs and activities on minority populations and ]ow-income populations;
C. Promote the full and fair participation of aII affected populations in program
decision making;
D. Prevent the denial, reduction, or delay in benefits related to programs and
activities that benefit minority populations or low-income poputations;
E. Ensure meaningful access to programs and activitiss by persans with limfted
EngIish proficiency.
3. Reaaonsibi[ifv: All Directars, managers, supervisors, and employees share in the
responsibility of making Augusta, Geargia's Title VI Prograzn a success. Any camplaints
or questions regarding Augusta, Georgia's Title VI Program should be directed ta the
