RESOLUTION
Resolution authorizing Augusta, Georgia to submit a Pre-Application with the Georgia
Department of Natural Resources for 2012 Land and Water Conservation Funds to assist
with the development the new Butler Creek Park
STATE OF GEORGIA
COUNTY OF RICHMOND
WHEREAS, at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Augusta, Georgia Commission
held on February 21, 2012, a motion was made and duly seconded that Augusta, Georgia
agrees to submit a Pre-application for funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
Augusta, Georgia further agrees that in the event Augusta, Georgia pre-application is
recommended for funding by the Department of Natural Resources, Augusta, Georgia
certifies and assures that it has the ability and intention to finance their 50 percent of the total
project cost and will move forward with due diligence to prepare, or have prepared,
appropriate documentation required for a formal LWCF application.
