HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7321 AMEND THE COMP ZONING BY CHANGING THE ZONING FROM ZONE R-1A (ONE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) AND ZONE B-2 (GENERAL BUSINESS)AFFECTING PROPERTY TUBMAN HOME ROAD AND MILLEDGEVILLE ROAD Y , ' , , ORDINANCE NO.�/ An Ordinance to amend Ehe Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commissian effective September 16, ] 997 (Ordinance No. 5950) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Cornmission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions af the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State,of Georgia" bychanging the zoning from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property loca#ed as follows: Tract A located on the narthwest corner of the intersection of Tubman Home Road and Milledgeville Road and Tract B located on the nartheast corner of the intersection of Tubman Home Road and Milledgeville Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflicf herewith and far other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION T. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the I Sth day of November, 1983, the caption of which is se# out above, is amended by clianging the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-lA (One-family Residential) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Tract A Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of the intersectian of Tubman Home Road and Milledgeville Road; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 17 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 260 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasteriy direetion a distance of 86 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Tubman Home Road; thence, in a southerly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Tubman Home Road a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains .29 acres and is known as 1815 and 1817 Tubrnan Home Road (Tax Map 071-4-022-00-0 and 071-4-021-00-0} Tract B Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Tuhman Home Road and Mille�geviIle Road; thence, in a northwester�y direction along the northeast right-af way line of Tubman Home Road a distance of 308 feet, more or Iess, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasteriy direction a distance of 305 feet, more or less, to a point located on the northwest right-of-way line af Milledgeville Road; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of MiFledgeville Road a distance of 91 feet, mare or less, to the point of beginning. This amendment ta the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the follawing stipulatians: 1) a 6 foot solid board fence shall be erected and maintained along the east side af Tubman Hame Road along the west side of 2337 Milledgeviile Road, gates may be slatted chain link; 2} the property on the west side of Tubman Home Road may be deveioped as a parking lot only or those use allowed in the current zaning but must conform to site plan regulations and the Tree Ordinance; 3) 1816 Tubman Home Road may be used only as an office and 4} na free standing sign may be erected on 1816 Tubm.an Home Road.
