An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta,
Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all
amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized
under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception to establish
chemical manufacturing per Section 24-2 (a)(21) of the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance for Augusta, Georgia affecting property located on the west right-of-way
of Doug Barnard Parkway, 560 feet, more or less, north of the northwest corner of
the intersection of Dixon Airline Road and Doug Barnard Parkway; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is
amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI
(Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception to establish chemical manufacturing per Section 24-2
(a)(21) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta, Georgia affecting property as
follows:

Beginning at a point located on the west right-of-way of Doug Barnard Parkway,
560 feet, more or less, north of the northwest corner of the intersection of Dixon
Airline Road and Doug Barnard Parkway; thence, in a northwesterly direction a
distance of 49-42 feet to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 590.48
feet to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 707 feet, more or less, to
a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 41.14 feet to a point
located on the northwest right-of-way line of Dixon Airline road; thence, in a
southwesterly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Dixon Airline Road
a distance of 725.22 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of
1,984 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of
1,022 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of
176.76 feet to a point located on the west right-of-way line of Doug Barnard
Parkway; thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Doug
Barnard Parkway; a distance of 1,307 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
This property contains 43.83 acres and is known as 1895 Doug Barnard Parkway.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
