The privatizarion of utiliries contract between Fort Gordon and Augusta Richmond County was awaxded
September 2007. The requirements of the contract include executing the capital upgrades of the water and
wastewater s}stems throughout the installarion oFFort Gordon. The objective of this capital project is to
replace the lift-station based sanitary sewer system with an 8-inch gravity sewer system that will service to the
Fort Gordon Recrearion Area at Thurmond Lake in Columbia County, GA. The project will consist of
approximately 15,000 linear feer of 8" P�'C sewer main throughout the recreational area with service
connections.
