HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7295 AMEND COMP ZONING BY CHANGING THE ZONING FROM ZONE A (AGRICULTURE) TO ZONE HI (HEAVY INDUSTRY) AFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED MCBEAN CREEK , . , ,� " � ORDINANCE NO. � 295 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A(Agriculture) to Zone Hl (Heavy Industry) affecting property located located on the north bank of McBean Creek and the north right-of-way of Norfolk Southern Railroad, 1.15 miles south of Horseshoe Road and begin 940 feet, more or less, northeast of where Little McBean Creek intersects McBean Creek; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A(Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property as follows: � -�J , �� � .��' Beginning at a point located on the north bank of McBean Creek and the north right- of-way of Norfolk Southern Railroad, 1.15 miles south of Horseshoe Road and begin 940 feet, more or less, northeast of where Little McBean Creek intersects McBean Creek; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 2,500 feet more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 469 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 1,406 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 2,336 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 2,305 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 2,207 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 3,017 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 176 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This properiy contains approximately 286 feet and is known as 1126 Horseshoe Road. (Tax map 323-0-039-03-0) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulation: that a 400 foot natural buffer be maintained along the property line adjacent to those properties located in Lewis Acres Subdivision SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
