Wheeler, III Director T0: Environmentai Review Record FROM: Edkesha Anderson, Housing Program Coordinator DATE: August 8, 2011 RE: Environmental Review for the Rehabilitation Program • 1624 Heard Avenue Augusta, GA 30904 (058-1-036-00-0) As a follow-up to your recent memo, this is to inform you that an environmental review checklist has been completed for the Rehabilitation Program on the property listed above. The project invofves the rehabifitation of a single family home for a low-income family. The checklist revealed that none of the related Federal laws and authorities listed at 24 CFR Part 58.5 appiies to the property. The Housing and Urban Development Department's environmental regulations require that Augusta- Richmond County, as is documented in its Environmental Review Record (ERR), carry out any requirements listed at 24 CFR Part 58.6 related to the Flood Disaster Protection Act, the Coastal Barriers Improvement Act, and the purchase or sale of existing property in a Runway Clear Zone. I have reviewed the location of the subject property and found it is not located in a coastal barrier resource area, or runway clear zone. However, the property is located in a special flood hazard area and is also the floodway (the rear of the property). This property will require an Elevation Certificate for flood insurance purposes and will also require flood insurance. Documentation must be provided. The environmental review is now complete for the property listed above.
