RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1901
SECOND AVENUE, AUGUSTA, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, the Augusta Commission authorized the Mayor of Augusta to execute a
Purchase Agreement dated July 11, 2011, for the purchase of the properiy commonly known as
1901 Second Avenue (Map and Parcel 072-3-347-00-0) (the "Property"), from property owner
Barney Woods; and
WHEREAS the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of additional space and
parking for poughty Park; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the property commonly known as 1901 Second Avenue
would provide such necessary space and parking; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate for a resolution be adopted authorizing the
purchase of the Property and the execution of the necessary closing documents by the Mayor and
the Clerk of Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. That the Property commonly known as 1901 Second Avenue (Map and Parce1072-3-
347-00-0) and more fully described on Exhibit A shall be purchased by Augusta,
Georgia, pursuant to the Purchase Agreement dated July 11, 2011 for $3,600.00 from
property owner Barney Woods.
2. It is further resolved that the Mayor and Clerk of Commission of Augusta, Georgia
are hereby authorized to the necessary closing documents, as may reasonably be
required, in form approved by counsel for Augusta, conveying all of Barney Woods'
interest in the Property, which interest is subject to all easements and restrictions of
record to Augusta, Georgia.

3. This Resolution shall be recorded in the Minutes of the Augusta, Georgia
Commission, accompanied by the e�ibits referred to herein.

Exhibit "A"
ALL that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of
Richmond, and being known as Lot No. 39, Block P of the J. C. Ladeveze plat of lots made in
June, 1982 by D. V. Reaves, said plat being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior
Court of Richmond County, Georgia, in Realty Book 4-L, page 392, reference being made to
said plat for purposes of a more complete and accurate description of said property.
Said property is known under the present system of street numbering as 1901 Second Avenue.
