'rhe Privatization oP Water/WastcwaterUtilities contract between Fort Gordon and Augusta Richrnond Cou��ty was
awarded September 2007. The requirements of ihe contract includc execuCing the lnitial Capitul Upgrades (iCU) of thc
water and wasicwater syste�ns throughout the instailation of Fort G�rdon. One of thc initial Capital Upgrade projects is
to provi8e (t�vo) 1.0 Million Gallon Elevated Storagc Tanks and Demo the existing 2.25 MG standripe.
The proposed site for Tank #lon 8th Avenue was contirrned to be within a �vaste arca (SWMU-46) and has been
documented to have ground contaminants. Presently, the si[e is under cvaluation by GA EPD. Consequently, a suitable
alternate location for this tank si[e has been deterniined by Fort Gardon tor constniction. ln addition the analysis
concludes that the tanks will need an additional .250 MG to meet Fort Gordon needs which will rnake both Tanks 1.25
MG cach. This modification will 111ow JLA to survey the ��ew location and finalize che desi�n for construction.
