HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7243 SCOTT ROAD MILES AVE . � ORDINANCE NO. • 7 243 s- An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta, Georgia Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-lA (One-family Residential) to Zone R-3C (Multiple-family Residential) affecting property located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Scott Road and Miles Avenue; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA, GEORGIA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adoptetl by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-lA (One-family Residential) to Zone R-3C (Multiple-family Residential)affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Scott Road and Miles Avenue; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right- of-way line of Scott Road a distance of 155 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 104 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 56 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 102 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of Miles Avenue; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Miles Avenue a distance of 146 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately .47 acres and is known as 2014 and 2016 Scott Road. (Tax Map 098-2-067-00-0 & 098-2-069-00-0) � -/l- /Co . � � SECTION IL This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta, Georgia is subject to the following stipulations: 1) That the only use of the properties be group or congregate personal care homes or those uses permitted in an R-lA zone and; 2) If the use should cease the zoning shall revert to R-lA. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
