An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
A(Agriculture) to Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) affecting property located on
the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,040 feet, more or less,
southwest of Robinson Avenue; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CONIlVIISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A(Agriculture) to Zone R-1C (One-family
Residential) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-
way line of Gordon Highway, 1,040 feet, more or less,
southwest of Robinson Avenue; thence, in a southwesterly
direction along the northwest right-of-way line of
Gordon Highway a distance of 1, 415 feet, more or less,
to a point; thence, S 63 W a distance of 623.56
feet to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction a
distance 521 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S
81 W a distance of 58.87 feet to a point; thence,
N 13 E a distance of 78.44 feet to a point;
thence, N 64 E a distance of 173.65 feet to a
point; thence, N 12 W a distance of 272.15 feet
to a point; thence, S 77 W a distance of 171.36
feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a
distance of 610 feet, more or less, to a point located
on the Richmond County/Columbia County borderline;
thence, in a northeasterly direction along the Richmond
County/Columbia County borderline a distance of 1.800
feet, more or less, to a point; thence, south 53
E a distance of 311.67 feet to a point; thence, in a
southeasterly direction a distance of 1,083 feet to the
point of beginning. This property contains
approximately 62 acres is presently eleven tax parcels
known as 3027-3059 Gordon Highway (odd only) and 1158
Dodge Lane. (Tax Map 078-0-003-00-0, 078-0-003-02-00-0,
and 078-0-007-00-0 thru 078-0-015-00-0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
