An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta -
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta - Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on the
southeast corner of the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Birdwell Road; and
for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry)
affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Deans
Bridge Road and Birdwell Road; thence, in an easterly direction along the south
right -of -way line of Birdwell Road a distance 1,200 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 944 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 1,161 feet, more or less, to a point
located on the southeast right -of -way line of Deans Bridge Road; thence, in a
northerly direction along the southeast right -of -way line of Deans Bridge Road a
distance of 881 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains
approximately 24 acres and is known as 4260 Deans Bridge Road and multiple
addresses on Birdwell Road. (Tax Map 163 -0 multiple parcels, a complete list is
available at the Planning Commission office)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
