RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFER AND SALE OF PROPERTY TO THE
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA LAND BANK AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Augusta Commission (hereinafter "City" or "Augusta") has approved
the transfer and sale of property commonly known as Map and Parcel 022-0-010-14-0 and Map and
Parcel 022-0-026-00-0 (the "Property"), to the Augusta, Georgia Land Bank Authority (the "Land
Bank"); and
WHEREAS, said property known as Map and Parcel 022-0-010-14-0 is shown as Parcel 3,
containing 6.40 acres on a plat prepared by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P.C. for
McKnight Properties, Inc. dated September 22, 2006, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, said property known as Map and Parcel 022-0-026-00-0 is shown as a tract
containing 5.72 acres on a plat prepared by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P.C. for
McKnight Properties, Inc. dated September 15, 2006, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the Land Bank will simultaneously sell the Property for
the sum of $30,000.00 per acre to an adjacent landowner, McKnight Properties, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, such transfer is conditioned upon and contingent upon net sales proceeds
being delivered to Augusta, Georgia.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. That the property known as Map and Parcel 022-0-010-14-0 and shown as Parcel 3,
containing 6.40 acres on a plat prepared by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P.C.
for McKnight Properties, Inc. dated September 22, 2006 and the property known as
Map and Parcel 022-0-026-00-0 and shown as a tract containing 5.72 acres on a plat
prepared by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P.C. for McKnight Properties, Inc.

dated September 15, 2006 shall be transferred to the Augusta, Georgia Land Bank
Authority in consideration of the net sales proceeds from any sale of the property by
the Augusta, Georgia Land Bank Authority being delivered to Augusta, Georgia for
deposit in the General Fund of Augusta, Georgia. It is anticipated that the subject
property will be sold to McKnight Properties, Inc. at the appraised value of
$30,000.00 per acre.
2. It is further resolved that the Mayor of Augusta, Georgia shall execute a Limited
Warranty Deed to the Augusta, Georgia Land Bank Authority and such other
documentation as may reasonably be required, in form approved by the County
Attorney, conveying all of Augusta's interest in the property, which interest is
subject to all easements and restrictions of record.
3. This Resolution shall be recorded in the Minutes of the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission, accompanied by the exhibits referred to herein.
Duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, this 5th day of
December, 2006.
