RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Members of the Augusta-Richmond County Commission and
the Richmond County Board of Education are of the opinion there are
severa~ areas of the public's business which may prove beneficial
that said Commission and said Board cooperate upon;
WHEREAS, a j oint meeting/work session of the two bodies would
be helpful in identifying areas for possible cooperation of both
bodies, such as: economics in j oint purchasing, improvements in and
around school buildings and the joint use of school facilities with
the AUSJusta-Richmond County Recreation Department.
NOW THEREFORE, the Augusta Commission calls upon the Board of
Education of Richmond County, through their respective liaison
Members, to schedule such a joint meeting/working session.
