RESOLUTION OF THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION ON THE UNACCEPTABLE
PERFORMANCE OF REEVES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WHEREAS Reeves Construction Company has won the bid to be the prime contractor on
the reconstruction of the 1-520 (Bobby Jones Expressway) and 1-20 (the Carl Sanders Highway)
which is a critical component in the development of the transportation interchange infrastructure
in Augusta-Richmond County and East Georgia; and
WHEREAS Reeves Construction has also been the contractor on the interchange
improvement project at Mike Padgett Highway and 1-520; and
WHEREAS the progress on the said Mike Padgett Highway interchange project has been
slow and not satisfactory to the Commissioners of Augusta-Richmond County in light of the
complaints from constituents said Commissioners have received about said project.
NOW THEREFORE, the Augusta Commission adopts this resolution to evidence its
disapproval of the unacceptable performance of Reeves Construction Company on the project at
Mike Padgett Highway at its intersection with 1-520. The Augusta Commission does further
request that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) closely monitor Reeves
Construction Company's progress and request that it adhere to the project schedule and that it
have sufficient monitoring to keep the 1-520 interchange reconstruction project on schedule.

AUGUSTA COMMISSION
The undersigned Commissioners of Augusta, Georgia do hereby request the Georgia
Department of Transportation closely monitor Reeves Construction Company's progress and
request that it adhere to the project schedule and that it have sufficient monitoring to keep the 1-
520 interchange reconstruction project at Mike Padgett Highway and the 1-20 and 1-520
Interchange reconstruction projects on schedule.
