HomeMy WebLinkAboutPURCHASE OF PROPERTY 1832 1834 WYLDS ROADAttachment number 2 4 Page 1 of 3 IRESOLUTIO RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1832 WYLDS ROAD & 1834 WYLDES ROAD WHEREAS, the Augusta - Richmond County Commission (hereinafter "City" or "Augusta, Georgia") has determined it is in the best interest of Augusta, Georgia to purchase property corannonly known as: 1832 Wylds Road (054 -0- 088 -00 -0) & 1834 Wylds Road (054-0 - 089 -00- C ) (the "Property "), from Golden Eagle Properties, Inc.; and WHEREAS, Golden Eagle Properties, Inc, has offered to sale the property known as Map and Parcel 054 -0- 088 -00 -0 as shown as Parcel "A ", containing 1.30 acres on a plat prepared by W.R. Toole Engineers, Inc.. for Golden Eagle Properties, Inc. dated June 7, 1988, a copy of which is 'attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference and the property known as Map and Parcel 054 -0- 089 -00 -0 as shown as Parcel "B ", containing 1.00 acre on a plat prepared by W.R. Toole Engineers, Inc for Golden Eagle Properties, Inc. dated June 7, 1988, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and WHEREAS, the total purchase price is Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and No Cents (750,000.00); and WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate for a resolution to be adopted authorizing the purchase of Parcels "A" and "B" on the attached plat and to further authorize the execution of the necessary closing documents by the Mayor and the Clerk of Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Augusta - Richmond County Commission, Section 1: Augusta, Georgia shall purchase property commonly known as Map and Parcel 054-0-088-00-0 and 054-0-089-00-0 as shown on the attached plat for the purchase price of $750,000.00, with the funds for such purchase to come from the operating budget of the Utilities 'Department and Information Technology Department. Section 2: It is further resolved that the Mayor and Clerk of Commission of Augusta, Georgia are hereby authorized to execute such documentation as may reasonable be required, in form approved by Interim General Counsel of Augusta to acquire such Parcels. Section 3: This Resolution shall be recorded in the Minutes of the Augusta - Richmond County Commission, accompanied by the exhibits referred to herein.
