RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION AND COOPERATION
FOR PFIZER, INC.
Augusta-Richmond County offers its assistance to Pfizer, Inc. in
locating a suitable user of its Augusta Facility; and
Pfizer,
is
pharmaceutical
the
world's
Inc.
largest
manufacturer; and
Due to market conditions~ Pfizer, Inc. is putting its Augusta
facility at 1750 Lovers Lane on the market for sale; and
This facility was built In 1982 by G. D. Searle & Co. - and
through a series of mergers and acquisition~, - came to be owned by:
Pfizer, Inc.; and
The facility is one of the most up to date pharmaceutical
manufacturing facilities in the -United States with Pfizer, Inc.
having completed a $40 million upgrade of the plant's environmental
controls in 2003; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the contributions of Pfizer, Inc.
to _ the Augusta community, BE IT RESOLVED that the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission, hereby offers its assistance and support to Pfizer, Inc. in
its efforts to locate a suitable user and/or purchaser for its Augusta
facility located at-.1750 Lovers Lane.
