Resolution
Of Condolences
WHEREAS, Pete Warren was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and moved with his family to Augusta in 1956 at 12 years old;
and
WHEREAS, Pete Warren workedfor International Paper Company asa Mechanical Instructor and served on the Environmental
Board; and
WHEREAS, Pete Warren graduated from Butler High School, attended Augusta College and joined the United States Army
serving in the 9th Infantry Division in the Vietnam Campaign and was member of the VFW Post 7778, United Steel Local 1803
and the Hephzibah Agriculture Club; and
WHEREAS, Pete Warren was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002 representing District 122 and was an
active member of the Richmond County Legislative Delegation and served on several legislative committees including the
Agricultural, Game Fish & Parks, Defense and Veterans Affairs and the Senior Citizens Council; and
WHEREAS, Pete Warren, hard-working ways will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him and loved him; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Augusta Commission were deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of
Pete Warren; and
WHEREAS, Pete Warren spent the majority of his life as a husband, father, public servant, statesman and serving the people of
Augusta, the State of Georgia and our country; and
WHEREAS, the family, friends, constituents and colleagues of Pete Warren, who some called a "great man" who used his
pass!pn to especially help his community, which was exemplified through his leadership may always remember and never, ever
forget his love, concern and dedication for each of them, as he shall forever live in their hearts; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that it is with our sincere care and concern that we, the Augusta Commission of Richmond
County, Georgw, send7liese humble words expressmg our heartjelt sympathy. May youjind comfort in knowing that others care
and share your loss.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that a copy of this Resolution be forward(1d, to e family and friends of State Representative
Pete Warren this 17th day of October, M the year of our Lord, 2006. .
