RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Andy Baumgartner was recognized by President
Bill Clinton on April 19, 1999 as National Teacher of the Year;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Augusta
Commission congratulates Andy Baumgartner on this prestigious
achievement in his chosen profession of education and directs the
Mayor to coordinate an appropriate recognition ceremony with the
Superintendent of the Richmond County Board of Education at an
appropriate time so that Mr. Baumgartner can be personally
recognized for the honor he has brought to Augusta-Richmond
County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this
Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this body, a copy be
transmitted to the Board of Education of Richmond County and to
Andy Baumgartner.
