A RESOLUTION OF THE
AUGUSTA RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
WHEREAS the Georgia Department of Transportation has proposed to build a barrier at
the intersection of Moore Road and Georgia Highway 56 in Augusta, Georgia; and
WHEREAS the residents and business owners in the Moore Road area have complained
to the Augusta Richmond County Commission that the construction of said barrier is
unnecessary and an inconvenience to travel in and around said Moore Road area;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Augusta Richmond County Commission does
by this resolution express its opposition to the construction of said barrier as proposed by the
Georgia Department of Transportation and the Augusta Richmond County Commission requests
that the Georgia Department of Transportation not build said barrier and that the Commissioner
of the Georgia Department of Transportation and all members of the Georgia Department of
Transportation Board be sent a copy of this resolution and that a copy be spread upon the
minutes of the Augusta Richmond County Commission.
