RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE TOUR DE GEORGIA
AGREEMENT WITH MEDALIST SPORTS, LLC AND
FIRST AMENDMENT TO SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Tour De Georgia 2006 is to be hosted by Augusta, Georgia on April 18,
2006; and
WHEREAS, there are many economic benefits to Augusta, Georgia for hosting said
event.
THEREFORE, the Augusta Richmond County Commission does by this resolution
authorize the Mayor of Augusta to sign a contract known as the Tour De Georgia City
Participation Agreement and First Amendment thereto which is also an agreement with the
Greater Augusta Sports Council, Inc. setting forth the respective rights and obligations of the
parties thereto; namely Medalist Sports, LLC, Augusta, Georgia and the Greater Augusta Sports
Council, Inc.
ADOPTED this 29th day of March 2006.
