WHEREAS: Mr. DavidW. Simoneau, PE, initiated a request for a Letter of Map
Revision (LOMR) in a letter to FEMA dated October 22, 1998.
WHEREAS: FEMA issued a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated June 22,1999, to
reflect detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and detailed and up-to-date topographic
information along Rock Creek. The subject area is located in the vicinity of Belir am Road
between Interstate 20 and Bertram Road. .
WHEREAS: The original Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated June 22, 1999, did not
adequately address all of the information provided to FEMA with the initial Letter of Map
Revision (LOMR) application.
WHEREAS: FEMA re-isslled a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated November 9,
1999, to reflect detailed and up-to-date topographic infomlation along an unnamed tributary to
Rock Creek.
WHEREAS: Augusta, GA must adopt any revisions to existing Flood Rate Insurance
Maps (FIRM) as specified in Paragraph 60,3 (d) of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Regulations. '
WHEREAS: Failure to adopt the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) may result in the loss
of Augusta's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
THEREFORE: Let it be known that Augusta, GA does hereby readopt Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) 130158-0020-E revised to reflect a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated
June 22, 1999 and a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) re-is,sued No ember 9, 1999 (revising the
June 22, 1999, findings).'
