RESOLUTION
WHEREAS: Mr. Scott P.M. Godefroy, PE, initiated a request for a Letter of Map
Revision (LOMR) in a letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) dated
September 27,2001.
WHEREAS: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued a Letter of
Map Revision (LOMR) on August 27,2002 to reflect the studied data and the new floodplain
limits generated by that studied data for a portion of Rock Creek. The subject area is located
from a point approximately 100 feet upstream of Stevens Creek Road to just downstream of
Interstate 20.
WHEREAS: Augusta, GA must adopt any revisions to existing Flood Rate Insurance
Maps (FIRM) as specified in Paragraph 60.3 (d) ofthe National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Regulations.
WHEREAS: Failure to adopt the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) may result in the loss
of Augusta's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
THEREFORE: Let it be known that Augusta, GA does hereby adopt Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) 130158-0015-B and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) 130158-0020-E
revised to reflect a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated August 27, 2002 with an effective date
of December 12,2002.
