RESOLUTION
WHEREAS: A request for a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) was initiated to reflect the
impact of the construction of the Bobby Jones Expressway Bridge over the Savannah River.
WHEREAS: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued a Letter of
Map Revision (LOMR) to reflect the studied data (hydrologic analysis) and the new floodplain
limits generated by that studied data for a portion of the Savannah River. The subject area is
located from a point approximately 196.5 miles upstream of the mouth of the Savannah River to a
point approximately 204 miles upstream of the mouth ofthe Savannah River.
WHEREAS: Augusta, GA must adopt any revisions to existing Flood Insurance Rate
Maps (FIRMs) as specified in Paragraph 60.3(d) of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Regulations.
WHEREAS: Failure to adopt the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) may result in the loss
of Augusta's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
THEREFORE: Let it be known that Augusta, GA does hereby adopt Flood Insurance Rate
Map (FIRM) 1301580080 E Revised to Reflect a Letter of Map Revision Dated July 25,2005 with
an effective date of July 25, 2005.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AUGUST
