RESOLUTION
. WHEREAS: Mr. Steven M. Bradley, PE, and Mr. Bill S. Hargrove, RLS, initiated a
request for a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) in a letter to FEMA dated June 23, 1998.
WHEREAS: FEMAissued a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) on May 18,1999 to
reflect the removal of Rose dale Dam on Rocky Creek and to correct an error in the effective
hydraulic modeling. The subject area-is located from a point approximately 300 feet downstream
of the confluence of Rocky Creek Tributary No.8 with Rocky Creek to just downstream ofthe
Bobby Jones Expressway.
WHEREAS: The original Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) was based on an outdated
Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) 130158 0060-B.
WHEREAS: FEMA re-issued the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR::) on June 18, 1999
based on new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) issued March 23, 1999.'.\".,.

WHEREAS: Augusta, GA must adopt any revisions to existing Flood Rate Insurance
Maps (FIRM) as specified in Paragraph 60.3 (d) of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Regulations.
WHEREAS: Failure to adopt the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) may result in the loss
of Augusta's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
THEREFORE: Let it be known that Augusta, GA does hereby readopt Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) 130158-0060-E revised to reflect a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) dated
June 18, 1999.
