RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF DONATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, Augusta, Georgia has previously approved the acquisition of
property located along Spirit Creek from the Knox Foundation for the Greenspace
Program; and
WHEREAS, Augusta, Georgia is the recipient of a donation of the sum of
$80,000.00 to be used for such acquisition; and
WHEREAS, to properly account for the receipt of such donation and the
expenditure of the funds, the Augusta, Georgia budget for 2006 must be amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. Augusta, Georgia is hereby authorized to accept the donation of
$80,000.00 for the acquisition of property along Spirit Creek for the Greenspace
Program, to expend such funds to purchase such property and the Finance Director is
hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2006 Budget as necessary to account for
such transaction.
2. This Resolution shall be recorded In the Minutes of the Augusta
Richmond County Commission.
