A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GEORGIA STATE PROPERTIES
COMMISSION GRANT TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT CONSTRUCTION
EASEMENTS FOR THE BULTER CREEK INTERCEPTOR UPGRADE-EAST
PROJECT
WHEREAS, Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia, by and through the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission, approved the Butler Creek Interceptor Upgrade - East Project at its regular
meeting on June 20,2006; and
WHEREAS, said project is for the upgrading of a sanitary sewer trunk pipeline and is being
developed by the Augusta Utilities Department, a department of the Consolidated Government of
Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, said project design requires a permanent utility, access and maintenance easement
and a temporary construction easement, on a parcel of property owned by the State of Georgia
and in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice, said easements being described as
within that portion of the Department of Juvenile Justice property located to the south of the
Augusta YDC campus and separated from it by Phinizy Road, defined as 75,977 square feet for
the permanent easement and 54,716 square feet for the temporary easement, as depicted in the
survey of W. R. Toole Engineers, Inc., dated August 22, 2007, as shown as Exhibit "A" and
attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the approval of the Department of Juvenile Justice to the granting of said easements
is evidenced by a Resolution of the Georgia Board of Juvenile Justice, dated July 23,2009;
THE COMMISSION OF AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY, GEORGIA HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Augusta-Richmond County Commission does hereby request that
the Georgia State Properties Commission grant the permanent and
